Cisco Instructor Training Centre

 

Instructor Training offers the following instructor training courses:

 

● IT Essentials

● CCNA Routing and Switching

● CCNA Cybersecurity Operations

 

Each of the courses are conducted over a three to seven-day period in-person (seven to ten weeks for remote training), and has a minimum seat requirement for training to be scheduled. All training will be scheduled on-demand.

The School Coding & Robotics program actively engage learners in a variety of activities in the coding and robotics space. The aim of the program is to introduce to coding/programming to school learners and teachers. The program focus on, but is not limited to Introduction to the Internet of Things (IoT), Introduction to Graphical Programming using Small Basic, Programming Essentials using Python, Introduction to Robotics using EV3 and Mindstorm, Participating in the International First Lego League (FLL) Robotics program, introduction to Graphical Programming using Scratch, Programming Basics using Python.

 

The program is offered as an extra-curricular activity where learners acquire critical 21st Century skills such as Problem Solving, Creativity, Analytical Thinking, Collaboration, Communication, Ethics, Action and Accountability.

Robotics and Coding Clubs at the Schools

 

Africa Code Week is an exciting initiative to help young Africans from 8 to 18 years become the digital creators of tomorrow. This initiative bring hundreds of coding workshops to kids and youth from 3 different age groups (8-11, 12-17 and 18-24). Coding is taught through the introduction of Scratch an application that combines youthful creativity and curiosity with school subjects such as mathematics and art in a vibrant digital environment that allows children to become adept at computer coding in a short period.

This training takes place across Africa in October.

CODE WEEK

SCI-BONO CLUBHOUSE

 

Clubhouse is a free daily after-school program that provides a safe space where annually over 500 inner city kids between the ages of 9-18 years are exposed to technology and services not available to them at school, home or in the community.

 

The program encourages creative expression through the use of technology  in the form of music, art, video production, graphic design, web development, architectural design, visual art, game design, programming, robotics, drones, Internet of things, etc.
